Gemma's role is to lead the company and firm to achieve their main goals servicing international groups in Spain and improving quality and efficiency using technology, digitalisation, and experience in international advice. Gemma's focus is also on support her team to improve in their roles and capacities every day and to help them achieve both the company and their own goals learning in each step.

Her duties includes managing international accounting department focused on international groups using its technology and language, especially German, European, American,  Chinese  and Japanese groups. She is also involved in reporting in local GAAPS, IFRS, US GAAP using global ERP software as Oracle, SAP, Sage, Navision, etc. Experience in helping groups in the Spanish requirements.

Gemma specialises in managing global ERP systems, controlling and problem solving with the language and know-how required, especially in German, English, French and naturally Catalan and Spanish.

John is a Chartered Certified Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Manager, Certified Forensic Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Master Analyst in Financial Forensics, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Specialist in Asset Recovery, INSOL Fellow, and a licensed Public Accountant in The Bahamas.

John received his doctoral degree in business administration (Computers & Information Security) from Northcentral University in Arizona. He received his MBA (Finance) from Alliance Manchester Business School and the University of Wales in the United Kingdom. He has completed postgraduate studies at the Wharton School, Columbia University, Cambridge University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

John teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Advance Accounting, Automated Information Systems, and Fraud & Forensic examinations at the University of The Bahamas. His practice includes insolvencies and bankruptcies, liquidations, receiverships, forensic accounting, and fraud examinations.

He has participated in cross-border investigations as the appointed forensic accountant for CLICO, a Caribbean-based insurer with a presence in many parts of the Caribbean and the United States. He was also engaged by the noted UK Solicitor Sir Edward Fitzgerald in defending a Caribbean leader facing a UK Commission of Inquiry.

Carlos Morales is a lifelong entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience doing business for him and third parties. Carlos has vast experience in management and strategic planning, specifically in business, communications & marketing. Carlos has a master’s in business administration with an emphasis in Finance from the Tecnológico de Costa Rica.

He has background studies in Communication Sciences with an emphasis in journalism and public relationships at the Universidad de Costa Rica. He completed his master's degree in Tax Advisory at the Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional.

He has a varied education and specialisations in matters such as quality, processes continued improvement, digital marketing, search engine optimisation, social media optimisation, and leadership. His analytical and management skills have let him lead teams for all-size clients, including global projects managed from Central America.

Carlos has worked with HLB GCI since 2013, first as an external supplier and since 2019 as part of the leadership team. Carlos leads HLB CGI's digital business initiatives, where he matches technology and business processes to facilitate tax compliance, digital transformation, and business optimisation.
