Yasmin Yildirim; Auditor, Westprüfung (HLB Deutschland)
I am Yasmin Yildirim, an auditor at Westprüfung in Gießen, Germany and a proud mother of four children. My path into auditing wasn't straightforward, but it was pursued with full conviction. During my business administration studies, I developed a keen interest in tax issues, which later deepened in my role as a tax and audit assistant. However, it was the diversity and complexity of auditing that truly ignited my passion.
Deciding to become an auditor wasn't easy. With four children and a demanding profession, it was a challenge that required both time and financial sacrifices. The modularisation of the auditor exam was a crucial factor that allowed me to tackle the exams step by step, maintaining a balance between work and family. With support from my husband and family, I passed each exam one by one, always with the goal in mind of being a role model for my children.

I always knew the challenges would be significant, but the determination to surpass limits brought me here. Since I began my career as an accounting technician, every step has been guided by the pursuit of growth and achievement. Entering university and the birth of my first child were decisive moments that reinforced my desire to go further.
When I decided to enter external auditing, I knew it would be a challenge. I faced the demands of the profession with dedication, balancing travel, studies, and participating in the upbringing of a young child. Over the years, I embraced every opportunity for growth, advancing from senior auditor to audit partner at HLB Brasil in 2022, a year in which I was blessed with the birth of my second child, further strengthening my motivation.
